Alpina C1 E21

The Alpina C1 2,3 is based on the E21 323i. What I find most interesting about the E21 C1 is that it comes from a time when Alpina was taking used BMWs to work their magic on. It was only in 1990 that Alpina exclusively built with the base of new BMWs. The E21 C1 was built between 1980 and 1983. The 2,3L six cylinder engine produces 170HP and 210Nm. it’s top speed is rated at 208klm/h and it’s acceleration from 0-100klm/h is 7,9 seconds. The C1 is the weakest E21 that Alpina offered. I think however, that those figures are plenty for such a small car. What I probably enjoyed most about this example is the classic Alpina look. The Green and Blue decoset on the Alpinewhite body is a one of a kind elegance.
