RAAB Motorsport X KW Suspension

In June last summer Raab Motorsport invited me to his test drive of the newly developed Raab Classics X KW suspension setup, developed specifically for classic cars, adding extra safety and bringing out the ultimate driving experience out of these cars. Raab Automobile is a dealership based near Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Franconia, Germany. Their speciality is work on BMWs, older models just as much as newer ones. Together with KW Raab classics developed a new coilover suspension setup called Raab Classics coilovers by KW. To test out how much of an improvement these would be, I was invited alongside a few more people to test various cars and get a feeling for the driving experience. As you might be able to tell from the photos, these cars haven’t only been equipped with new coilovers, but also with wider tires for more grip and some period correct fine tuning to deliver a few extra horsepower.

Many thanks to Raab Motorsport for organising such an amazing event and offering this great variety of cars to be driven. I certainly had a hell of a lot of fun and was indeed quite impressed by the difference these coilovers make.
